Compatibility & installation
SelectedE63/E64 N62 applications require exact-part, engine/version, CAS generation, production-date and software matching. VVT label references do not establish universal interchangeability.
Coding, programming, VIN matching, CAS-DME synchronization, ISN alignment, immobilizer programming, EEPROM cloning/transfer, adaptation/initialization or stored-data reset may be required. The mechanical key blade may not fit receiving locks; remote/immobilizer functions may require programming or synchronization. Professional BMW-electronics installation is strongly recommended.
